Volunteers Meeting Tomorrow, 7pm Let everyone in NYC know about the March on the Pentagon
Tomorrow! Tuesday, Jan. 30, 7pm
2295 Adam Clayton Powell (7th Avenue) SE corner of 135th St. Take the 2/3 to 135th and walk one block west or the B/C to 135th and walk two blocks east
How do we keep the antiwar momentum going after the January 27th demonstration in Washington, DC? Build for the March 17th March on the Pentagon! The March already has over 1,200 endorsers, and antiwar groups from across the country are organizing buses and caravans. For those in New York, the ANSWER Coalition is organizing buses from locations and college campuses throughout the city.
In order to fill those buses and more generally reach the millions of people who have decisively turned against the criminal war in Iraq, we need groups of volunteers to put up posters and stickers, to distribute flyers, and to organize anti-war house meetings and film showings in every community in the five burroughs. Come to a Volunteers Meeting this Tuesday, January 30, to learn about how you can get involved and to share your thoughts on the best way to spread the anti-war message.
If you're unable to come to the meeting, but would like to volunteer with ANSWER, please call 212-694-8720, email nyc@answercoalition.org or fill out this form. |
